Smiley faced Pink nosed Poll Dorsets
From my home county of Dorset I first fell in love with this breed a few years ago, always smiling, quiet and brilliant mothers they produce a gorgeous fleece and fantastic creamy milk, perfect for my soaps and candles. I leave the lambs with their mums, taking just enough milk as they always have plenty. They graze on species rich grass with nothing artificial, and are farmed on organic principles
THE HERDWICKS
These hardy sweet sheep with their 50 shades of grey were one of my inspirations , from the fells of Cumbria painted with red rudd they live amongst pink heathers, brightest blue harebells and the softest shades of green lichens.
